Add Bank/Credit Card

This feature allows users to create and maintain financial accounts that will be used for recording and tracking bank transactions, payments, transfers and card expenses. These accounts serve as the destination for all bank-related transactions in the system.
  • Go to settings.
  • Navigate to Commerce > Bank/Credit Card.
  • Account type: Determines how transactions are categorized. Users can choose either Bank or Credit Card.
    • Bank: It represents a savings, current or business account used for deposits or withdrawals.
    • Credit Card: Simply, used for purchases or payments or monitoring card spending.
  • Bank/Credit Card name: Describes the name of the account. E.g. HDFC Savings Account, ICICI Current Account or SBI Cashback Credit Card, etc.
  • Account number: Stores the bank account number or card number. E.g. 1234567812345678.
  • Nick name: A user-friendly alias for quick identification or easier account selection. Its purpose is to give meaningful labels without changing the official account names. E.g. Salary Account, Personal Card, Travel Card, etc.
  • Note: Additional information or remarks about the account. It's helpful to understand or store some contextual information.
  • Whenever we try to add account information, remember to add an account number with a unique nick name. Otherwise, it will give a duplicate error message as shown below.
